Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 26, 2026

Welcome to yogabarnutah.com. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the classes, services, and content we offer. By using our site or booking with us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Who may use this site

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or book a class on your own behalf. If you are booking for a minor, you do so as their parent or guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.

Bookings and payments

When you book a class or service, you agree to pay the listed price. Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider, and you agree to provide accurate, current payment information. Prices, class schedules, and offerings may change at any time without notice.

Reservation & Cancellation Policy

Our classes are intentionally kept small, and our instructors travel to the Barn specifically for each scheduled class. Because of this, your reservation is a commitment to attend.

You may cancel a single class booking up to [12 hours] before the scheduled start time to receive a full credit toward a future class. Cancellations made after that window, and no-shows, are non-refundable and may result in a $15 late cancellation fee.

Thank you for respecting our instructors’ time and helping us keep classes available for our community. 🤍

Class packages and bundles

Multi-class packages are non-refundable once purchased. Unused classes within a package remain valid until the package expiration date and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Memberships

Memberships may be cancelled at any time and will end at the close of the current billing cycle. We do not provide refunds for partial months or unused class time. Please contact us before your next billing date to cancel.

Workshops and special events

Workshops and special events may have their own cancellation terms, which will be noted at the time of booking. Unless stated otherwise, cancellations made at least [48 hours] in advance are eligible for a credit, and cancellations after that point are non-refundable.

Health and safety

Yoga involves physical activity that carries inherent risks. You are responsible for practicing within your own limits and for consulting a physician before beginning any new exercise program. By attending a class, you confirm that you are physically able to participate and that you assume the risks involved. If you have an injury, medical condition, or are pregnant, please notify your instructor before class.

Breathwork Contraindications

High-intensity, rapid, or breath-retention techniques (like the Wim Hof method or Kapalabhati) are not recommended for individuals with cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, or respiratory issues. Pregnant individuals should also avoid breath holds.

Breathwork Contraindications in Pregnancy:

Intense breathwork techniques like hyperventilation, circular breathing, and prolonged breath-holding are strictly contraindicated during pregnancy. These methods can reduce oxygen flow to the fetus, alter blood alkalinity, and raise core body temperature. Instead, focus on slow, gentle techniques like diaphragmatic and alternate nostril breathing.

Unsafe Breathwork Techniques

You should strictly avoid the following practices while pregnant:

  • High-Ventilation Practices: Techniques that involve rapid, forceful, or cyclic breathing (like Holotropic or Wim Hof methods) can trigger hyperventilation.

  • Prolonged Breath-Holding (Kumbhaka): Holding your breath for more than a few seconds can severely limit the oxygen supply delivered to your developing baby.

  • Forceful Abdominal Breathing: Practices like Kapalabhati (Breath of Fire) create intense abdominal pressure, overstimulate the nervous system, and can cause dizziness.

Pregnancy-Specific Risks & Considerations

Beyond the breathing techniques themselves, certain medical conditions make any structured breathwork session risky:

  • High-Risk Pregnancies: Conditions like incompetent cervix, placenta previa, severe pre-eclampsia, or carrying multiples.

  • Underlying Health Issues: Uncontrolled high or low blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, or severe asthma.

Safe Alternatives to Practice

Instead of intense or rapid breathing, you can safely support your nervous system, core health, and labor preparation with:

  • Ujjayi Breathing: An ocean-sounding, slow, rhythmic breath that generates gentle internal heat.

  • Diaphragmatic & Deep Belly Breathing: Safe throughout all trimesters for maximizing oxygen flow and softening the pelvic floor.

  • Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana): A proven tool for reducing anxiety and balancing the nervous system.

Conduct

We want our studio and website to be welcoming and safe. You agree to treat instructors, staff, and other participants with respect. We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel a booking, or suspend access to anyone who behaves disruptively or violates these Terms.
